April's Featured Designer Challenge

For our first Featured Designer Challenge here at Creating Memories in Time, Mary Pfaff has created some Easter Blocks with flowers.  You can follow this easy tutorial to create a
set of your own.
Supplies:
Lifestyle Crafts ~ Enjoy Mini Alphabet Set
Daisy (REV-0033)
Card stock:
Core’dinations ~ Sugar-N-Spice
Close To My Heart ~ Yellow, Green
DCWV ~ Medium Pink
Georgia Pacific ~ White
Cuttlebug ~ Dots Embossing Folder
Creative Memories ~ 1 ¼” Circle Punch
Copic ~ G14 Apple Green
Iridescent Glitter
11 ~ 1 ¼” Off White Blocks
3 ~ Wooden Spools
9 ~ Bamboo Skewers
9 ~ ¼” thick Mount Circles
mount Foam
White Grass
To start, you need to prepare your blocks.  Use 1 ¼ painted off white blocks.  Sand the edges.  Cut eleven 1” squares from the light green card stock.  Emboss with Dots embossing folder.  Sand.  Adhere to the front of the blocks.
Cut out “Happy Easter” with Enjoy Mini Alphabet Set.  Sand.  Adhere to the light green squares on blocks with mount foam.
Cut 9 Daisy flowers.  Three pink, three medium pink, and three yellow.  Emboss with Dots embossing folder.  Sand.
Punch 18 ~ 1 ¼” white circles.  Adhere 9 to the backs of flowers.  Flip over.

Add ¼” mount foam circle to center of flower.  Add the punched flower enter  top.
Sprinkle glitter over flower center.  (This will fill in hole in flower center, and around the flower's base circle center edge).
Color Bamboo skewers with Copic Apple Green marker to create stem. Cut three @ 6”, three @ 5”, and three @ 4”.
On the back of flower adhere the stems.  (Alternating flower colors).  Then adhere another white circle to cover and hold.
Measure spool inside lip.  Cut strip to fit.  Emboss with Dots.  Sand.  Adhere to spool.  Arrange flower stems inside center of spools.  Place blocks with flowers arranged.  Add white grass.
